September 30-October 1, 2016 -- New book reveals extent of CIA penetration of American society

On October 1, WMR will release a fascinating reference guide on the Central Intelligence Agency's various front companies, proprietary firms, shell and "dummy" corporations, and contractors.

Titled "The Almost Classified Guide to Front Companies, Proprietaries & Contractors," the book is a reference-style compilation of the CIA's various "off-the-shelf" entities in existence since the agency's creation in 1947. To date, no other reference book of this type has been published in the United States or abroad.

The extent to which the CIA has penetrated every facet of American society is surprising. Even more alarming is the financing by the CIA's venture capitalist arm of new high-tech and quite Orwellian methods to spy on us all. From Internet activity profiling to stand-off brain wave analysis, the CIA is spending large amounts of U.S. taxpayer funds on new and troubling means of population surveillance.

The history of the CIA's involvement in scandalous business activities, from Air America and drug running to Zapata Offshore and the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba, is described in this book. What can be said about a U.S. government organization that was dealing with the Camp Fire Girls at the same time it cut deals with the infamous Hell's Angels?

The CIA's total penetration of America's news media, from newspapers, magazines, radio, and television to book publishers, wire services, and news websites is also described in the book.
